Skill development institute opened

DOOMDOOMA, Oct 13: To commemorate the selfless and untiring services of the founder secretary of Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS), Doomdooma Branch, late Jogendra th Rajmedhi, an institute of skill development mely “Jogendra th Rajmedhi Institute of Skill Development and Training” was set up here.  The institute was iugurated by former Union Minister recently.

The institute will impart training to the youths on computers, knitting, cutting and embroidery.  The notable feature of the institute is that 90 per cent of the seats will be reserved for the youths of the tea-tribes community.

The iugural meeting was presided over by former MLA and President, ACMS, Doomdooma Branch, Dileswar Tanti and was attended by Seema Chaudhury, Principal, Hoonlal HS School, Doomdooma, Dr P. J. Deka and Magers of the surrounding tea-estates under Doomdooma circle. Secretary, ACMS, Doomdooma Branch, Rupesh Goala anchored the programme.
