Skill Fest-cum- Job Fair

Shillong, May 6: Chief Minister of Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma kicked off the Meghalaya Skill Fest-cum-Job Fair, 2015 in the presence of Minister for Labour, Dr M Ampareen Lyngdoh, at Ampati Mini Stadium here today afternoon. Organized by the Directorate of Employment & Craftsman Training, Department of Labour and Union Ministry of Labour& Employment, the Skill Fest-cum-Job Fair witnessed the participation of thousands of young job seekers from the district of South West Garo Hills, who registered themselves with various companies and vocatiol training providers. This is the second year that such a programme is being organized for the unemployed youth in Garo Hills region. Delivering the iugural address, the Chief Minister said that the fair is being held for the whole State and is one of the initiatives of the government, dedicated for the young skilled workforce with the intention of harnessing their potentials.
