Shillong, Nov 3: Differences cropped up traditiol heads of Ri-Bhoi district over the decision of the Synjuk Ki Nongsynshar Shnong Ka Bri U Hynniewtrep (SKNSKBUH) to march to the state secretariat on November 5.

While, the Dorbar Ki Rangbah Shnong Ri Bhoi (DRSRB) have agreed to take part in the march, another group-Synjuk Ki Rangbah Shnong Eastern Ri-Bhoi (SKRSERB)consisting of 80 villages will skip the march.

“The rejection of talks is the major failure of the SKNSKBUH since the people have been anxiously waiting that the synjuk (headmen’s body) and the government share their problems through discussions,” president of the SKRSERB Field Marshal Mawphniang said.

Moreover, the SKRS Ri Jaintia today informed that it will take part in the march to secretariat on November 5.

Further, the SKNSKBUH today urged the protestors to assemble at Laban Sports Club at10.30 am before marching towards the state Secretariat.
