Small entrepreneurs to avail loans at low interest under Mudra Yoja:Teli

Dibrugarh, Oct 3: A beneficiary scheme med Mudra Yoja, was formally launched by MP Rameswar Teli, in a meeting held here at United Bank of India’s (UBI) Regiol Office. Under this scheme, a loan of Rs 50,000 was distributed among 600 beneficiaries of the district under the scheme at a function held at UBI’s Maniram Dewan Conference Hall.

 Iugurating the scheme, MP Rameswar Teli said that small business entrepreneurs would be greatly benefited as they could now avail loan at one per cent interest rate against a sum of Rs 50,000 for starting their business under Mudra Yoja.

The meeting was presided over by Professor of Kanoi Commerce Collge, Dr Khanindra Mishra Bhagawati, and was anchored by the district lead officer of UBI Mukul Kachari.

Speaking at the function, local MLA Prashanta Phukan said that Prime Minister Modi, who had spent 550 days in office, had been successful in implementing various schemes meant for the poor and downtrodden. Prashanta Phukan further stated that till now crores of people were getting benefits from various schemes like Prime Minister Dhan Jan Yoja, and Atal Pension Yoja. Phukan expressed his satisfaction over how these beneficiary schemes had made  way for the people to come into contact with banks, which otherwise was a far-off dream for them.

The Regiol Mager of UBI, Debabrata Sinha, in his deliberation, forwarded his views on how the people could secure benefits under the schemes initiates by Prime Minister Modi. Attending the meeting, youth leader of BJP Subhash Dutta, said that young boys and girls would now be able to avail loan from the banks under Mudra Yoja at low interest, and become entrepreneurs in their own small way. At the iugural ceremony, homage was paid to the Father of the tion, Mahatma Gandhi on his 146th birth anniversary. Later, the Business Mager (Tea Estate) of UBI, Jiten Kalita, delivered the vote of thanks.
