Small savings collection in Assam increases up to 29 per cent

JOYSAGAR, June 24:  Small savings collection in Assam seems to have risen tremendously in the present fiscal year than in the previous years, and it rose up to 29 per cent, reaching to tune of Rs. 7,800 core turnout. This was revealed in a press release issued by the Regiol Director of tiol Savings Institute, a Central Government Agency under the Ministry of Fince, Government of India.
After the fall of most of the fraudulent banks and chit fund companies , the common people, mostly those living in village areas of Assam, showed their faith government agencies, especially in Indian Postal Department and for which act the gross collection in Postal Saving Schemes has risen in this fiscal year 2016-2017. Among the various schemes, the Sukanya Samriddhi Account, which is the flagship saving scheme of the Government of India, is getting momentum, which can be open in both post offices and tiolized or commercial banks, stated the press release. 
The Regiol Director Office of the tiol Savings recently conducted a series of mobilization programmes in the different parts of Sivasagar and held awareness camps and also training programmes for small savings agents under India Post. Such camps were also conducted in zira, Amguri, Moranhut and Desangmukh.
