Small tea grower societies awarded by CEC in Golaghat

Golaghat (Dhekial), June 30: The recognized small tea growers of Golaghat district were awarded by New Delhi based NGO ‘Centre for Education and Communication’ (CEC) for their operatiol magement efficiency and preparedness to set up tea manufacturing units, here on Tuesday. The award comprising of a computer and a printer to improve digitalization of society operations along with one soil alysis kit each to help them improve their productivity, were given to -Seuji STG Growers Society, Ratanpur Khudra Chah Khetiyok Unyan Samity, -Kuhipat STG Society, Medini Khudra Chah Khetiyok Samity and Dhoroni Small Tea Growers Samittee of Golaghat district as part of CEC’s project ‘Sustaible Livelihoods for Small Tea Growers’. The computers were handed over to the office bearers of the respective societies by Minto Goswami, Senior Project Mager, CEC. The recognized small tea growers’ societies of Golaghat district were selected among 598 societies from the States of Arunchal Pradesh, Assam, Tripura, Mizoram and West Bengal.
