SMC'89 dotes relief materials for flood victims

Rangia, August 1:  For the flood-affected people of Kamrup district, SMC’89, an NGO of Guwahati, handed over relief materials to Kamrup Deputy Commissioner Vinod Seshan on Monday at the DC Office, Amingaon. Receiving the relief materials, DC Seshan appreciated the generous help of the organization for the flood-affected people.

The NGO has provided 50 mosquito nets, 50 bed sheets, 50 pieces of dishes, 120 plain copies for students and used clothes. SMC’89 is a newly-formed NGO with the 1989 batch students of St.Mary’s Convent, Guwahati with Dr Jee Bordoloi Deka as president and Nirmali Das as secretary.
