Smile's impressive performance mesmerises Delhi audience

SILCHAR, March 12: Smile, a socio-cultural organization of this town, presented an impressive show with its dance and song accompanied by rhythmical music before the audiences in Bipin Chandra Paul auditorium at Chattaranjan Park, New Delhi, recently. The occasion was Srihatta Sammelan. The presentation included Smile artistes’ praiseworthy performance in Johannesburg, South Africa, on the occasion of the ‘Bharat Utsav’.

The cultural and musical shows by Smile dance drama ‘Alor pathayatri’, ‘Muktir mandir’, ‘Sopan tale’ and ‘The martyrdom of May 19’. It was followed by the folk songs by Ritu ha. Another presentation ‘painting dance’ based on the theme of patriotism. Artistes who made the musical performances attractive included Ravishankar Paul, Sashwati Chakraborty, Poulami Chakraborty, Anindita Das, Suchismita Bhattacharjee, Sreya Das and Vishal Kar Purkayastha. The Smile troupe received all sorts of help from its president Sushmita Dev, MP, and working president Advocate Rajat Ghosh.
