Smriti Irani re-posts daughter's selfie, gives a stern reply to the bullies of her school

New Delhi: Standing against bullies once again, Union Minister Smriti Irani proves that she is not going to bow down to unfairness and neither is she going to let her daughter do. In a recent Instagram post, Smriti Irani had posted her daughter’s selfie but had deleted it after some time as her daughter faced bullies in her class for the post. As stated by Irani, her daughter Zoish’s classmates mocked and humiliated her.

But later, Smriti posted her daughter’s selfie once again and this time the picture accompanied a note wherein she explained the reason behind re-posting the selfie.

The note accompanying the selfie of her daughter reads, “I deleted my daughter’s selfie yesterday coz an idiot bully in her class, A Jha, mocks her for her looks & tells his pals in class to humiliate her for how she looks in her mother’s insta post.”

Irani further added that she had to delete the post earlier as her daughter asked her to delete the post. She added, “I obliged coz I could not stand her tears.”

Irani, playing a vital role in the government of India as the Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Textiles, is a mother after all and like any and every mother she too could not see her daughter shedding tears over the matter of the selfie. Hence, she did not think twice in deleting the post. But it is only later that she realized that by deleting the post she actually empowered the bully. Such acts will add more power and energy to the bullying person and she should have not done so.

Irani said, “Then I realised my act just supported the bully.” Later she re-posted the selfie on Instagram.

Irani also added that her daughter will fight back and will not bow down to the unwanted bullies for no reason. Adding the achievements of her daughter, she tried to enhance more power in her daughter. She wrote, “My daughter is an accomplished sportsperson, record holder in Limca Books, 2nd Dan black belt in Karate, at the World Championships has been awarded bronze medal twice; is a loving daughter and yes damn beautiful.”

Smriti Irani, with this recent post, has certainly won million hearts of the mothers and daughters on social media and offline.
