SMSS activists block OIL vehicles

DULIAJAN, June 30: Demanding immediate construction of college road from Jayagar to 6 no.Tinilai by Oil India Limited, the members of Duliajan Anchalik committee of Satra Mukti Sangram Samity (SMSS) staged blockade of OIL’s vehicles on Monday morning for four hours due to which the employees could not reach office on time. They staged the blockade at Tipling,16 No.Tiniali, Daily Bazar, 21 no. and OIL’s bus stand. After the protest the activists held a meeting with SK Chakraborty, Head of CSR of OIL, Aroti Das, Head Administration Department of OIL and officials of Civil Department, OIL and in the meeting OIL authorities gave assurance to resolve their grievances as soon as possible, stated a press communiqué by SMSS president Abhish Borah and Sarat Gogoi, general secretary of SMSS, Duliajan regiol committee.
