SMSS activists join Yuba Parishad in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), October 22: Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS) leaders along with hundred members joined the Yuba Parishad on Saturday.

In this regard a meeting was held in the head office of Golaghat Ga Parishad under the president ship of Dulumoni Saikia, president of Golaghat district Yuba Parishad.  Under the leadership of vice-president of SMSS Golaghat district,  Bidyut Mahanta, general secretary Debasish Kalita and publicity secretary Tankeswar Bordoloi, almost 100 activists of SMSS joined the Yuba Parishad. Similarly, under leadership of karate player Anjan Dutta and Dimpal Saikia, 30 youths and AATSA activist Seikh Ali Khan also joined the Yuba Parishad.

Talking to the media, vice-president of SMSS, Bidyut Mahanta said, “Overwhelmed by the activities of AGP party, some SMSS activists decided to join the Yuba Parishad. At present, regiol party AGP is in a position to resolve the problems of Assam.”

Attending the joining programme, the president and secretary of Golaghat AGP, Paban Saikia and Ashikur Rahman welcomed the new members.
