Smugglers, Bangladeshi tiol held

SHILLONG, May 11: The BSF troops deployed at Dulaila, South West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya, noticed suspicious movement near the Indo- Bangla Border Fence (IBBF) and found two civilians throwing some packet over the fence. They immediately apprehended them from the spot. They were identified as Topesh Momin and Martin A Sangma. The latter is a serving constable. After questioning, it was revealed by the apprehended persons that they intended to purchase fish from two Bangladeshi tiols who fled towards Bangladesh. The apprehended persons had paid them money in a packet. BSF troops recovered a Pulsar Bike and one Mobile phone with two Indian SIM cards from their possession. In an another incident BSF troops deployed at Lalghat in  South West Khasi Hills district, apprehended one Bangladeshi tiol while he was infiltrating into Indian territory from Bangladesh.
