Social activist passes away

Dibrugarh, Oct. 25: Former Assistant Engineer of  PWD Department and founder secretary of Muslim Kalyan Parishad, Mujibur Rahman passed away on Wednesday at a local nursing home. He was 68. Rahman is survived by his wife, two daughters, one son, daughter in law, grand children and a host friends and relatives. His last rite was performed at local Amolapatty burial ground amidst large number of people from all walks of life. Rahman , a die hard social activists was closely associated with Dibrugarh Branch of Asom Xahitya Xabha, Zakat and Imdad Foundation, Muslim Kalyan Parishad and a number of socio cultural organizations of the district. The Dibrugarh Xahitya Xabha president, Durlov Chetia and others paid a rich tribute to the departed soul and condoled the death.
