Social activist Prof Sunanda Nandi Purkayastha donates Rs 2 lakh to Cancer Hospital

Silchar: Educationist and social activist Prof Sunanda Nandi Purkayastha, former head department of education, Silchar Women’s College, donated Rs 2 lakh in sacred memory of her mother Monika Chowdhury and mother in law Sarojnalini Nandi Purkayastha. The cheque of Rs 2 lakh was received by Dr K P Chakraborty, chairman, Cachar Cancer Hospital Society, in presence of Dr Ravi Kanan, director of the hospital, Dr Chinmoy Chowdhury, former chairman, and other members on Sunday.
