Agartala, March 10: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar iugurated a programme organised by Social Welfare and Social Education Department in collaboration with the Tripura Women’s Commission.
Sarkar, who organised the programme on the occasion of Intertiol Women’s Day, said that the idea of gender-balanced or women-friendly is still a myth and even so called developed tions have failed in achieving gender equality.
A rally was organised on the occasion to educate the society on various issues related to women. (ANI)
