'Society can be transformed through education'

Donkamukam, April 6: The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang on Sunday after inauguration of newly- constructed  building of Phangtengphrang High School in West Karbi Anglong said that the problems we faced in the society can be challenged through education.  “There are many challengeable works to be done in the society but through education it becomes very easy to tackle them,” CEM Tuliram said at the meeting in the school premises. “The productive members to build the society is also obtained through it and thus society can be transformed and built,” he  said. “In order to encourage the girl students of the backward areas we are distributing cycles,” he said.

  The headmaster of the school along with senior citizens of the area also submitted a memorandum to CEM demanding open stage, earth filling of the school compound, desk and benches etc for the institution. Earlier KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang inaugurated a series of Brick Pavement Road from Sikamari PWD road to Do-gaon, then Sikamari PWD road to Sishu Niketan Road, at Taradubi, and Hanthor PWD road to Hanthor village. 10 PMAY(g) houses were also inaugurated.

 KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang also financially assisted hundreds of families of the area whose houses were damaged by storm on April 14. He was accompanied by Chairman of Veterinery Board Ditolal Hasnu, VDC Chairman Ramson Rongpi, BDO Rongkhang Development Block, Sashi Kt Timung Tarjan Langthasa Louis Marak and others. Besides damaging the house electric post, wire and several hundreds of trees were uprooted in many places under Bithung Rengthama MAC Constituency in West KA.
