Sok Divas observed in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR, August 16: The State Mourning Day (Sok Divas) was observed in Sivasagar district today to mourn the tragic death of 14 people, mostly children, killed in the bomb blast on August 15, 2004 at Dhemaji.

The State Mourning Day was arranged here by the Deputy Commissioner. All staff participated in the observance of Sok Divas with rayan Konwar, Deputy Commissioner, in the chair. They also observed a one-minute silence for eterl peace of the departed souls and took the pledge to work unitedly for peace and social harmony, and raise their voice against all acts of militant violence.
