Solar lamps distributed

Boko, Jan 9: Boko-based Indian Army camp distributed solar lamps in the remote village of Lampi, 30 kms from Boko, on Friday.

Lampi is a remote village which is yet to get electricity supply. The villagers purchase kerosene oil at the rate of Rs 80 to Rs 120 per litre and a packet of candles at around Rs. 40 to Rs 50. The Indian Army distributed solar lamps among the villagers.
