Solution soon to leadership issue, Sonia tells Congress rebels

ITAGAR, Feb 5: 21 rebel Congress MLAs from Aruchal Pradesh met party’s vice president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Thursday.

Gandhi is said to have informed the leaders that there would be a solution to the political crisis in the State with a new approach.

The MLAs are reported to have out rightly rejected Tuki’s leadership and said that if a Congress Govt is formed in the State, it has to be under Kalikho Pul as the next Chief Minister.

Gandhi is reported to have agreed to the demand by the 21 Congress MLAs to remove V. rayasamy, who is the AICC in-charge of Aruchal Pradesh from his post. The rebel Congress blames rayasamy for not intervening early to solve the leadership crisis in the State which had thickened in August last year, party sources said here today.
