London, July 21: South Korean striker Son Heung-Min has signed a new contract with north London club Tottenham Hotspur, which will keep him in the English Premier League side until 2023.
The 26-year-old Son, who led South Korea to a 2-0 victory over Germany in Russia World Cup, told Tottenham’s official website: “It feels great. I’ve learned so many things in the last three years and we’re all looking forward.”
“We deserve to win something and deserve to make some history. It’s time to do it and to believe in ourselves. I’m always positive with the lads and looking forward to playing again in the Premier League and the Champions League,” added Son.
Son joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, and has scored 47 goals in 140 appearances for the north London side.
He scored twice during the Russia World Cup, including one in South Korea’s shock win over Germany. IANS
