Sonowal apprises Governor of state of affairs

Guwahati, May 10: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal called on Governor Jagdish Mukhi at the Raj Bhavan here today.

The one-on-one meeting lasting nearly one hour was mainly meant to apprise the Governor of the state of affairs prevailing in the state. Sonowal also informed the Governor about the State Government’s preparedness to deal with any exigency arising out of incessant rain in the last few days and help provided by the district administration to the people affected by hail-storm, incessant rain in the state.

Sonowal also drew the attention of the Governor about the progress of various welfare schemes being implemented by the State government, a press release stated.
