Sonowal confident of BJP's victory in Assembly polls

Rangia, Feb 7: At least 30 members of the Congress joined the BJP at a rally held at Bezera mini stadium on Sunday. The rally was presided over by Dilip Deka, president Bezara Mandal committee, where Chief Ministerial candidate and BJP State president Sarbanda Sonowal, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and MP Bijaya Chakraborty were present. Sonowal said that BJP was working for the common people of Assam and he was sure that BJP would easily form the next government. According to him, Prime Minister Modi had given special attention and stressed development of the Northeast, especially Assam. He also criticized the State Government for doing nothing for the poor people. Himanta Biswa Sarma slammed Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi for his ‘ictivity’.
