Sonowal reviews games preparations

GUWAHATI, Jan 2: Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports (I/C) Sarbanda Sonowal attended the Executive Committee meeting of the 12th South Asian Games which was held at Circuit House in the city today. The meeting took stock of the preparations for the Games. Almost all the top officials of the Games including Jaril Singh, Secretary General, OC-SAG, Injeti Srinivas (CEO,Guwahati), and RK Sharma (CEO,  Shillong) were present along with many other high officials. Many issues,  related to the preparations of the Games, were discussed in the meeting today. One of the key focus of the Executive Committee meeting was on the upcoming events leading up to the 12th South Asian Games. These events will kick-start with the launch of Volunteers Training Programme, proposed to be held on January 6 , along with the proposed visit of the Chef de Missions to Guwahati, and the launch event of the theme song .
