SP warns surrendered extremists on intelligence report

Agartala, June 12: Based on intelligence report, Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) Arindam th has warned the surrendered extremists not to fall in trap of any agents in the iugural function of the Vocatiol Training Programme for the ninth batch of the surrendered extremists in Lachi Camp at Birchandra Manu under Shantir Bazar sub-division on Saturday.
Worrying over attempt to lure the surrendered extremists by any agents th said, “The agents may tell you to go back to Bangladesh and to bring arms. They may offer you with good amount of money. It may become more dangerous for you. Don’t return to the path you have once left.”
“About 70 extremists are still in Bangladesh. Half of them are permanently settled there and wives of some of them are working in government sector. Most of the rest half are likely to come back to normal life shortly,” he further said.
Talking on training programme, he said a total of 1,435 extremists have received vocatiol training in different trade and are living happy life. A onetime fincial help of Rs 1.5 lakh has been provided to all the extremists. It may be mentioned that altogether 38 surrendered extremists are enrolled for the vocatiol training in the ninth batch.
