Hyderabad, March 26: The Andhra Pradesh assembly will have a special session on April 4 to take up a no-confidence motion moved by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) against the speaker. The decision to call the special session was taken at the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting presided over by Speaker K. Siva Prasada Rao. The budget session, which began on March 7, is scheduled to conclude on Friday. The opposition party last week gave notice for the no-confidence motion against the speaker for allegedly being “biased” against it. YSRCP president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has alleged that the speaker is behaving like a worker of the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) by muzzling the voice of the opposition. (ians)
