Spiritual Leader JP Vaswani Dies at Age 99

On Thursday morning, 99-year-old Spiritual leader Jashan Pahlajrai Vaswani passed away in Pune. It was stated that he died due to old age-related ailments. Vaswani, better known as Dada Vaswani, was born on 2 August 1918, in Pakistan’s Hyderabad, Sindh.

The Sadhu Vaswani Mission said he died at around 9 am. “Ever-loving, ever-giving, May he continue to bless us from the beyond,” it said on Twitter. A member of the organization said Vaswani had been in a private hospital in Pune for several days and was discharged by the hospital on Wednesday night. A big event had been planned by the organization for the coming month to celebrate Vaswani’s 100th birthday.

He was an acclaimed humanitarian, philosopher, educator and orator. His non-governmental organization, the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, was involved in social work and charity. His Mission was a non-profit organization with the headquarter in Pune and has centers spread across the world. He has also written over 150 self-help books.
