Squash players receive special tips from Tripathi

GUWAHATI, July 4: Guwahati Squash Racket Association organized one day special coaching programme for its players in the city today. The camp was supervised by Dalip Tripathi, one of the reputed coach of the country. The idea behind this camp is to provide the neccessery information to thelocal players on how to imrprove basic technique in this game.

Talking to The Sentinel at the side line of the camp Tripathi today said, “It is very essential to learn the correct technique of gripping the bat and its uses at the very early stage of the career. I will try to provide some ideas on it to the players during this short trip.”

Highlighting the present scerio of the game in the country Tripahi,who already coached several top players of the country like Sourav Ghosal and Dipika Pallikal, said that the popularity of the game is gradually increasing in the country.

“We have top quality players in the junior level. Little support from the corporate sectors can help us to produce top class players in the senior category on regular basis,” said Tripathi.

The secretary of the Guwahati Sqush Racket Association Dhruba Jyoti Kalita today informed that with the help of Tripathi they would prepare a road map for the development of the game in the State.
