Srimad Bhagavata recitation programme at Deogharia

GAURISAGAR, January 5: Dikhowmukh Deogharia village, one of the oldest villages  in the greater Dikhowmukh area on the outskirt of Gaurisagar, will organize a three-day long  Srimad Bhagavata recitation  and exposition programme at Deogharaia Boramghar from Janury 17.

The first day’s programme will start with plantation of saplings by Kushram Kalita followed by flag hoisting by Kak Kalita. Later, the Bhagawat Bhraman, Bhagawat Path and am prasanga  programmes will be held. Noni Gopal Deva Goswami, Xatradhikar of Sri Sri Dakshinpat Xatra, Majuli and founder of Aiyush, a spiritual  organization,  will iugurate the Srimad Bhagavata recitation  and exposition programme. Mril Kumar Baruah, researcher of Sankari culture and Assistant Professor, Dibrugarh University will grace the iugural function as a distinguished guest.

In the iugural function, the people of Deogharia will felicitate Xatradhikar ni Gopal Deva Goswami and noted Gandhian leader, intellectual, recipient of a number of tiol, intertiol  awards and chief of Santi Sadha Ashram, Hembhai, for their outstanding contribution in the field of spiritual development. In the  Srimad Bhagavata recitation  and exposition,  Hembhai will take the chair as chief expositor while Dr Deba Bora, noted physician of Sivasagar, Arup Saikia, Dikhowmukh, Dr Probin Konwer, zira, -Dicial and Dhiren Chandra Baruah, Dikhowmukh will take part as expositors.

On the concluding day various groups will perform diha am. At night Moni Kanchan Bhao troop, Amguri will perform Gajaketu Uppakhyan Dhitarastror Digwijoy bhao. For smooth conduct of the programme  a reception committee has been formed with Diganta Kalita as president, Dhaneswar Kalita, Srikanta Kalita Diganta Baruah, Brojen Dutta as vice-presidents, Nirup Borah as chief secretary and Jitu Dutta as chief organizer.
