Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha’s Dharmdhwaja reaches Golaghat

Golaghat, Feb 8: After conclusion of the 86th annual conference of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha at Gohpur, the next 87th conference will be held in Golaghat.

On Wednesday, from Gohpur the Dharmdhwaja or the religious flag of the Sangha reached Golaghat. Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha’s  Golaghat district unit received the flag from the organizing committee of Gohpur conference and it was carried with a huge rally where more than 200 bikes and cars participated. The rally moved through Numaligarh, Marangi, Rangajan areas and through Golaghat town and filly reached Dhekial where the flag was kept in the Sangha office. Traditiol slogans and songs were heard when the rally crossed several spots. Devotees in several places welcomed the rally and offered prayers.

 Meanwhile, the Golaghat district unit of Srimanta  Sankardeva Sangha has started preparations for the 87th conference which is scheduled be held at Vaishv Pandit Gopika Ballav Goswami Kshetra in Golaghat. An organizing committee, along with several other sub-committees, has already been formed for the event.
