SSB distributes study materials among border schoolchildren

KOKRAJHAR, June 8: The 16th Bn.SSB on Tuesday distributed study materials to the students of border schools along Bhutan border in Kokrajhar district as part of the welfare programme for the people.
More than 472 children of Ultapani M.E. School, Ultapani L.P School and Saralpara M.E School along Indo-Bhutan border got benefited as the SSB initiated unique programme for the children where various statiory items like notebooks and pencils were distributed among children from the schools. These are schools stationed along Indo-Bhutan border and only place from where education is being imparted to the large section of children of border villages.
On the occasion AKC Singh, Commandant of the 16th Bn.SSB, officers, Sunsuli Basumatary, Headmistress LP School, Ultapani, Harka Bahadur Magar, Headmaster of LP School, Ultapani and other faculty members of above schools were present. A.K.C Singh said that education was the key to success in any field and one should focus and work hard to get success in life. He made the children aware about the ill-effects of drugs on youth. Further, Singh requested the children to choose the right path of life.
