KOKRAJHAR, March 30: A two-day Samajik Chet Abhiyan was organized under the aegis of 15 Bn, SSB, Kajalgaon at Gwjwnpuri village, Dongsiapara in Chirang district recently. This was stated in a press release issued by the Assistant Publicity Officer of the sector head quarter of the SSB V. Chinmuanthan.
The programme was iugurated by RK Mazumdar, Deputy Commissioner, Chirang, who was chief guest. Sanjay Kumar, IPS, DIG, Force headquarters, SSB, New Delhi graced the closing function as chief guest.
The SSB organized free medical, veteriry and homeopathy camps. The medical doctor and paramedical staff treated 800 patients and distributed medicines worth Rs 70,000 free of cost. The veteriry doctor and staff treated 1,197 livestock and distributed medicines worth Rs. 30,000and 227 patients were treated and medicines worth Rs 3,405 were provided by the homeopathy team. During the two-day programme, volleyball tourment and various sports competitions were organized for children and students. A colourful cultural programme was also showcased by local talents.
