SSB organizes Samajik Chet Abhiyan in Chirang

KOKRAJHAR, March 22: The two-day awareness campaign or Samajik Chet Abhiyan organized by 54th Bn SSB Bijni at Borpathar village near BOP, Panbari in Chirang district concluded on Saturday.

The closing function was attended by about 4,000 local people. On the last day of the campaign, free medical, veteriry, homeopathy camps were held. Rajneesh Lamba, Commandant, 54th Bn in his speech highlighted the achievements made during the campaign. He also mentioned about the benefits rendered by SSB to the local public during the campaign like medical civicĀ  action, veteriry civic action and games and sports competition in which local youths participated. Amit Kumar, Deputy Inspector General, SSB Sector, Kokrajhar, presided over the closing function as chief guest. He thanked the local people for making the campaign successful. He appealed to the local people to continue their co-operation to SSB and urged interested youths to join SSB for which possible guidance could be provided.

Sh Kamal Pathak, president of village committee, lauded the 54th Bn, SSB for organizing such an awareness campaign in their village.
