Stakeholders urged to play constructive role for quality education in Aruchal

Itagar, March 14: Aruchal Pradesh Education Parliamentary Secretary Bamang Felix has called upon the panchayat leaders, school magement committee members and other stakeholders in education sector to play a constructive role to ensure quality education in the state.

Addressing the iugural function of the five days state-level awareness campaign and gender sensitization training programme here yesterday, Felix informed the participants that the Zero Tolerance Policy in Education is applicable to all functiories of department from top to bottom including himself, an official release informed here today.

"The PRI leaders and SMCs are the real custodian and guardian of the school. It is their responsibility to preserve the infrastructure of the schools particularly during vacation period. Together they can check the mece of teacher absenteeism by monitoring, supervision and reporting on regular interval to appropriate authority. To improve the educatiol scerio of the state, selfless and committed participation of all stakeholders are required."

Felix further said that the PR leaders being in the grass-root level can play a pivotal role in spreading awareness and implementation of various programme and policies of the Govt. He urged the participating NGO to render selfless service with missiory zeal with single motto to educate children and not to take it as a business venture.

Earlier, RK Mishra, Secretary (Education) has informed the participants about the shifting trends in imparting education through introduction of digital technology; one of which is launching of CM Global Education Programme in collaboration with Google.

He urged the participants to be pro-active and not to make any compromises in regard to quality related to education of children. Opak Gao, State Project Director, SSA in his brief speech, has emphasized on community participation and stressed for effective role of SMCs and PR leaders to achieve the desired goal in the field of education. He opined that, every stakeholder should seriously introspect to impart quality education in the State. The campaign cum gender sensitization training programme is being organized in convergence with departments of ICDS, Social Welfare, Police, Women Commission, Health and Family Welfare and State AIDS Control Society. The participants of the programme are Zilla Parishad Chairpersons, Zilla Parishad Members, AS Chairpersons, ASMs, GPMs, School Magement Committee members, GBs, member representing Mother Teachers and Parents Teachers Association of the seventeen districts of the state, the release added.
