Start classes of RGIPT from this academic year, AASU demands

Joysagar, Feb 2: “Start classes of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) from this academic year. For this, take a rented house in a suitable place within the municipal area of Sivasagar town,” stated Sivasagar district students’ union general secretary Samiran Phukan in a press release. He further said that the foundation stone of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology was laid by the former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in 2011 at Palasani area of Sivasagar district but till now the progress of the construction work of the institute was not satisafactory. For this the aspiring students of the district and the State were facing much trouble. Therefore, AASU has demanded that the classes should start form this educatiol year to benefit the students. The organization has also demanded attention of the State Government and the Central Government regarding this educatiol project.
