State Health and Public Welfare Department Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma Takes Stock of Development Activities in Sivasagar, Assam

JOYSAGAR, July 31: State Health and PWD Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Sivasagar on Monday. He addressed an urgent meeting in Sivasagar Circuit House in the evening where all the senior district administration officers, including Sivasagar PWD officials, took part. The minister took stock of the PWD activities in Sivasagar and discussed about the steps being taken for construction of roads in the district. Sarma also informed that about Rs 160 core had been sanctioned, especially for Sivasagar and Charaideo districts, for improvement of PWD roads. Besides, the minister also focused on building about 18 rural RCC bridges in place of wooden bridges in the district. Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner PG Jha briefed the urgent meeting earlier while State Power Minister Tapan Gogoi, MLAs Jogen Mahan, Kushal Duwori, Terosh Gowala and Bimal Borah, AGP general secretary and Amguri MLA Pradip Hazarika and many officials took part in the meeting.
