State level Judo championship from Feb20

Itagar, Feb 2: The Aruchal Judo Association is all set to organize the first State level Judo championship in various weight categories from February 20 to 21 next at Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy, here.

The fil Judo team for participation in the ensuing tiol Level North East Games-2016 under Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan (RGKA) scheduled to be held from March 2 to 7 next at Imphal would be selected through this championship, a press release by Aruchal Judo Association (AJA) general secretary Tagru Magong said here on Monday.

Earlier the AJA has obtained provisiol affiliation with the Judo Federation of India on September 14 last year which has open the gate for our enthusiasts and excellent judokas to showcase their hidden talent in the tiol Championship.

From the day of participation of the state Judo team in the regiol level, All India Rural Sports Competition, tiol School Games and tiol Championship of the Federation, the Judokas of the state has brought laurels by winning many medals within a very short span of time, he added.
