State Minister for Power Tamiyo Taga Held a Meeting on Power Substation Damage Assessment, Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR: State Minister for Power Tamiyo Taga held a meeting to assess the damages caused in panel board of 132kv substation at Daporijo, which burnt out at midnight of yesterday following flash of voltage in the panel board of 132/33 KV transformer No.1 at his office on Thursday.

The fire was doused off by the timely intervention of fire brigade and police. This led to complete darkness of Daporijo and other central and eastern parts of the state as its supply from Ziro was shut down as a precautionary measure.

However supply to other parts beyond Daporijo has been restored today by isolating Daporijo. Meanwhile, the Minister opined that some of the extra high voltage sub stations at Aalo, Deomali are in a very vulnerable state and need immediate maintenance.
