State Police in contact  with Delhi Police: Conrad

Ri-Bhoi woman's death in Delhi

Shillong,  April 11:  Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday informed the Meghalaya Assembly that the state police will co-ordite and make all efforts to help in the investigation of the murder of a 26 year-old woman from Ri-Bhoi in Delhi.

Replying to a Zero Hour notice brought by Nongpoh legislator of the Congress Mayralborn Syiem, Conrad said, “Ri-Bhoi police is in contact with Delhi Police for getting updates on the status of the case and has offered full cooperation on the same.”

The Chief Minister informed the House that a case has been registed at Vasant Vihar police station adding that investigation on the case is in progress.

Earlier moving the zero hour notice, Syiem urged upon the Government to pursue with the investigation so that the people who are involved in the alleged murder could be bbed.

It may be mentioned that the 26 year old identified as Wandalin Kongor’s was found dead in her flat in Munirka area of Delhi.

According to reports, the 26 year old woman from Kharpati village of Ri Bhoi district was allegedly murdered in her flat in Delhi’s Munirka under Vasant Kunt police station.
