Statue unveiled

Biswanath Chariali, May 23: A statue of Dr (late) Shiva Acharya, a Sanskrit scholar and internationally recognized writer of Gamiri under Gohpur sub-division in Biswanath district was unveiled recently at a function held at Gamiri by Dr Umesh Chakravarty, an activist of RSS. The function was presided over by Khagen Goswami, vice principal of Chaiduar College, Gohpur. The programme was addressed by Sanskrit researchers Dr Arun Kumar Acharya, Dr Bhupesh Sharma, Tulsi Charan Upadhyaya etc. In their speeches, they highlighted the life and works of the late scholar.
