Stolen Bolero pick-up van recovered

MANGALDAI, February 9: A team of Mangaldai Police, acting on a tip-off, successfully recovered a brand new Bolero pick-up van which was stolen from Guwahati on February 6. The vehicle was stolen from the residence of one Toufique Ali of Kahilipara. In-charge of Town branch of Mangaldai Police Station Sub Inspector Hemanta Barua, on receipt of the information, immediately conducted a search operation at village Malibari under Baihata Police Station in Kamrup district on Wednesday night and recovered the vehicle from the house of Ajoy th, son of Dharani th of the same village. The Baihata police extended all cooperation to the police team from Mangaldai. However, Dharani th maged to flee away.  Dharani th, accompanied by Moinul Ali and Dhan Moni Barua alias Bubu, had allegedly stolen the vehicle and they are involved in the increasing incidents of car lifting.
