Strike cripples normal life in Karbi Anglong

DIPHU, Jan 8: The 12-hour dawn to dusk Karbi Anglong bandh, called by Karbi People’s Liberation Tigers (KPLT), an armed organization operating in the hill district in support of their demand for separate state, paralyzed normal life in the district today. Educatiol institutions, fincial institutions, business establishments, government offices, were remained closed during the bandh and vehicles were off the road. The bandh was by and large peaceful and no untoward incidents were reported from any parts of the district till the filing of this report.
