Students demand Re-consideration of scholarship : Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR, July 31: “We are innocent and we were betrayed, please reconsider our scholarship forms,” was the slogan of students present in hundreds at a dharna organized by the deprived students of pre and post metric scholarship 2017-18 here at Tennis Court, Itanagar on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters, leader of the deprived students Toko Takar said that due to lack of guidance by the education department they were facing problems on availing the scholarship. They asserted that their scholarship forms be considered. 1945 students had applied through MS Yarkum enterprise and accordingly the forms were submitted. The SJETA department had earlier extended the submission of the Form-A for scholarship to August 10. But the names of these students are not in the selected or the rejected list. Meanwhile the students have appealed to the CM to look into their case.
