‘Students Should Have Will Power and Perseverance to Succeed in Life’- Rana Changmai, Associate Professor of Tinsukia College

Doomdooma: “Even students from interior areas can excel in their life if they have strong determination and focussed attention,” said Rana Changmai, Associate Professor of Tinsukia College and former president of the Assam College Teachers’ Association (ACTA), while delivering his speech as chief guest at the fresher’s social of Sadiya College on Saturday.

He cited the example of athlete Hima Das and a Tai-Phake girl of Margherita who has qualified to compete in the beauty contest in Rajasthan this year. “Though corruption in public life has largely deteriorated the academic environment of the State, yet students should have the will power and perseverance to succeed in life. They should also vow to weed out corruption that has pervaded every sphere of our society,” he said.

The meeting, which was presided over by the Principal- in-charge, Dr Horgobinda Borkakati, was well attended by students. The students who obtained first class in major subjects of BA and B. Com final examination held last year were felicitated in the meeting.
