Students suffer as school lacks basic facilities

DEMOW, Feb 1: Under Sivasagar district near Demow, the 7 No Tea Tribes High Medium School situated in Rajmai Tea Estate is facing various problems.  The 7 No Tea Tribes High Medium School was established in the year 1995 and in the year 2008, it got permission from the Education Department to start Class X in the school. But the school lacks basic facilities. It does not have a uril and lacks proper infrastructure.  Since the last three years, the eight teachers have been deprived of their salary. There are 95 students in Class X.  Since the 7 No Tea Tribes High Medium School is the only school in Rajmai Tea Estate, people have urged the State Education Department to take immediate steps to improve the infrastructure and facilities in the school.
