Students’ union election concludes

Dibrugarh, Sept 2: The voting and counting of students’ union election in Monohari Devi Kanoi Girls College (MDKGC) was held in a conducive atmosphere at the college campus on August 30, through Digital Voting Machine (DVM). The use of DVM, for the first time in any college union election, was hailed by both faculties and students for its efficacy and speedy completion of entire process. Sudarshana Rajguru and Bedika Changmai were elected to MDKG College students’ union as president and general secretary uncontested respectively. The others who were elected uncontested were Dimpi Gogoi, Sneha Neog and Kasturi Phukan as magazine secretary, cultural secretary and outdoor game secretary respectively. The result of the election for other office bearers of the students’ union was announced in the afternoon. The Principal, Dr Dilip Bhuyan, while welcoming the new office bearers of the students’ union, expressed his satisfaction over the successful and peaceful completion of the election process.
