Special Correspondent

SILCHAR, April 25: SUCI (C), Cachar district committee, on Friday observed its foundation day in a brief function held in its office located at Ukilpatty of the town. After hoisting of the party flag, a discussion on the significance of the day was held with the workers. Shyamdeo Kurmi, secretary, and Pradip Kumar Deb, an important functiory of SUCI (C) of Cachar district committee, in their speeches said that this party was conceived and formed by the great Marxist thinker of the time Shibdas Ghosh. His mission and vision was to work for the exploited and oppressed toiling masses.

It was on April 24, 1948, that the SUCI (C) was formed with the active participation of a group of dedicated workers. From the day of its formation, the party has taken root in every state of the country and its organizatiol strength is growing. The ideals and principles of this party have been seriously studied and alyzed by the Communist parties of other countries. Shibdas Ghosh made Marxist-Leninism the core of his party’s ideology. It has been always active to carry forward the struggle for the liberation of the exploited and oppressed from the clutches of capitalism.

It is this resoluteness of the workers that has made the fight against capitalism and exploiters more sharp and organized, the speakers observed. Criticizing the rendra Modi Government and its liberal policy towards capitalists, the speakers described it as ‘detrimental to the interests of toiling masses’. SUCI (C) irrespective of the colour and complexion of the government in power either at the Centre or State will continue its cudgel against them and oppose their oppressive attitude towards the common masses.

There was no difference between BJP and Congress and both are the protector of corrupt and oppressors. Continuing their tirade against Modi Government, the speakers said this government too has failed to check price rise and corruptions. Banks and insurance companies as well as railways have been opened for FDI and the Parliament is now witness to ‘Ordince raj’. His policies are against the interests masses. The foundation day was marked on Friday with the pledge to carry forward the message of the party and its fight against evil forces of capitalism and exploiters.
