TANGLA, July 21: In an effort to engage the budding minds and to tap their creativity, a four-day long summer arts and craft workshop, conducted by Lotus Fine Art and Craft School of Tangla, began at Adarsha Vidyapith School premises on Saturday.
The workshop, attended by nearly 80 participants of all age groups, was inaugurated by educationist Dr. Hariram Das. The workshop will have Bihuram Boro, Pabitra Basumatari and Somnath Basumatari as resources persons.
The chief instructor of the school, Ranjul Kr. Sutradhar said, “The participants will be taught the craft of mask-making along with woollen doll-making and creating decors with waste materials.” An art exhibition was also held which was inaugurated by Dr Lakhan Kr Boro of Orang Civil Hospital.
