Sunrise Club open account in Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) Super Division League

GUWAHATI: Sunrise Club earned full points against Gauhati Town club in the GSA RG Baruah Super Division Soccer League held at the Nehru stadium here today. Sunrise won the match 2-0.

Both the goal of the match came in the added time of the first half and a gap of one minute. Rakesh Das put Sunrise club ahead in the 1st minute of the added time. Sagar Hang Limboo made it 2-0 within a minute.

In the second half Gauhati Town club, field junior team with its own academy players, tried to return the goals but defence line of Sunrise played good soccer and denied them to open their account.

With this match first round of the Super Division Soccer League came to an end today. Assam State Electricity Board Sports Club, Assam Police Blues, Navajyoti Club and Sunrise club earned full points from their first outing.

There is no match tomorrow. In the next game on Friday NFRSC will face FC Green Valley.
