Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan:Amity & brotherhood promoted in Tezpur

NAMSAI: Promoting brotherhood among the people of different religions, people in hundreds thronged to promote Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan at Temple, Guruduwara, Church, Mosque and Pagoda of Tezu on Monday. Speaking to The Sentinel, advisor to Chief Minister Sotai Kri said that a cleanliness drive in the constituency has been going on since a week. The main motive to bring all religious heads on one platform is to eradicate the sense of enmity and to sustain love and cleanliness in and around the compound, Sotai said.

He also requested people to avoid religious differences and come together to make the state and country free from dirt and encourage healthy living.

This is a very positive platform provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring all people of the country irrespective of color, caste and religion to fight against harmful diseases caused by unhealthy surroundings, he added.

Quoting a Hindu priest, he said though we are from different parts of the country and practise different religions we maintain brotherhood among ourselves. Though we believe and pray different gods but our prayer is same for peace and tranquility, he added.

A clean surrounding is the need of hour, because even if people are from different religions, poor or rich one has to die. But the reason for death should not be the unhygienic and unhealthy environment which can be tackled by human beings, he added.
