Swachh Bharat Parv observed

Golaghat, April 18: Swachch Bharat Parv was observed in Golaghat district, along with the rest of the country, as part of the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan underway from April 14 to May 5. The central programme on the day was organized at Dhansiripar LP School in Rongdoi GP where Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Bothra took part by digging pit for an IHHL. The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the SBM beneficiaries of the village. Cleanliness drives and awareness rallies were carried out in all the Gram Panchayats covered under this programme with special thrust on those GPs which are not ODF till date. A total of 76 villages of Golaghat district will be covered under the Gram Swaraj Abhiyan.
